About Us

Roscrea SPCA was formed in 1995 by a small group of volunteers and today, is still run by a voluntary group who give of their time and energy to ensure the success and smooth running of the Society. Roscrea SPCA became a registered charity in 2018 (RCN 20106911).  If you have some free time and would like to put it to good use and become a member of our society please get in touch through our contact page.
Roscrea SPCA are part funded by the department of Agriculture, food and Marine for which we are very grateful but we also rely on donations from the public to continue the work we do. We would very grateful if you could visit our donations page as all donations go directly into the society for the care of the animals.

We are currently looking for foster homes for the cats and dogs in our care. All vet treatments, food, litter, and beds are provided by the society and all we ask you to provide is you time, love and compassion.

Roscrea SPCA  offer a Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) scheme for feral cats where they can be trapped, neutered and released again without the worry of any more litters of kittens. We ask anyone that is currently feeding colonies of feral cats to get in touch with us on 086 3582440 or 087 2137223. We are again coming into kitten season and expect to be inundated with calls asking for help from people finding litters of kittens needing our help.

We also offer subsidised neutering schemes for pet owners throughout the year. please follow us on Facebook and Instagram to find out when these offer are available.
